Justin Timberlake was released from custody following his arraignment for driving while intoxicated in Long Island, New York, an incident that has garnered significant attention amidst his ongoing tour and personal life.

Timberlake, known for hits like “SexyBack” and “Mirrors,” appeared at a Sag Harbor courthouse on Tuesday, June 18, where he faced charges of DWI along with citations for running a stop sign and failure to maintain his lane. The 43-year-old singer was accompanied by attorney Ed Burke Jr. and appeared visibly upset during the proceedings, according to a source familiar with the situation.

“He did seem a bit upset,” the source said. “Jessica [Biel, his wife] was not with him.”

The arrest occurred after Timberlake was observed driving a 2025 BMW on Madison Street, where he allegedly failed to stop at a stop sign and maintain his lane. Sag Harbor police initiated a traffic stop and subsequently determined Timberlake was operating his vehicle while intoxicated. He was placed under arrest, processed, and held overnight before his morning arraignment.

Following the arraignment, Timberlake was released on his own recognizance and is scheduled to appear in court again on July 26.

The incident unfolded after Timberlake had dinner at the American Hotel in Sag Harbor and was en route to a friend’s house when he was pulled over. Fortunately, no injuries were reported.

Timberlake’s legal troubles come amid his ongoing “Forget Tomorrow” world tour, promoting his latest album, “Everything I Thought It Was.” His tour schedule includes upcoming performances at Chicago’s United Center and New York City’s Madison Square Garden.

Timberlake, a Tennessee native, has been a prominent figure in the entertainment industry since his days with *NSYNC and has since carved out a successful solo career. His personal life has often been in the public eye, particularly since his marriage to Biel in 2012.

As Timberlake navigates this legal challenge, fans and observers alike await further developments in his case and how it may impact his career and personal life moving forward.
