Fortnite is tapping into one of streaming’s loudest voices. Twitch star Kai Cenat is officially joining the game’s Icon Series, a collection that’s turned into a digital hall of fame for entertainers, musicians, athletes, and top creators.
The Icon Series has rolled out skins for Ninja, Eminem, Billie Eilish, Snoop Dogg, and Shaquille O’Neal, blending pop culture with Fortnite’s cartoon battlefield. Cenat, who’s built a following of more than 18 million, now joins that roster.
He’s best known for chaotic marathon streams and crossovers with iShowSpeed and the AMP crew. While he isn’t Fortnite’s most dedicated grinder, his popularity makes him an obvious pick for Epic Games, which continues to lean on internet personalities to drive the game’s momentum.
Cenat broke the news on X Sunday with a post promising a “huge announcement + Fortnite Icon Series reveal tomorrow.” It drew hundreds of thousands of views within hours. Minutes later, Fortnite’s official account jumped in with a one-word confirmation: “LEAKED.”

The reveal will happen during Cenat’s Twitch stream tonight at 8:30 PM PST / 11:30 PM EST, with global audiences tuning in from the UK to Japan.
Reaction has been predictably loud. Pro player Clix called Cenat a “legend,” while CouRage said the move was “so hype.” Still, some fans questioned why Cenat got the nod before iShowSpeed, who logged a viral 57-hour Fortnite marathon alongside him.

Epic is clearly betting on Cenat’s reach. Fortnite’s active player numbers dipped after its summer updates, according to Fortnite.gg, and adding a creator with Cenat’s influence could be the spark the game needs.
This isn’t Cenat’s first brush with Fortnite — he made a cameo in last year’s Reload trailer with AMP. But this time, players will actually be able to jump from the Battle Bus as him.
