After starring in Season 12 of ‘American Horror Story,’ Kim Kardashian is new moves continuing to work with Ryan Murphy.
The new legal drama has been given a series commitment at Hulu, which also airs Kim’s show “The Kardashians“. The new project will see Kardashian play a successful divorce lawyer who leads an all-female law firm in Los Angeles.
Jon Robin Baitz, showrunner of the Truman Capote-focused upcoming season of Murphy’s “Feud.” will be writing the series alongside Joseph Baken, writer on the “AHS” spinoff “American Horror Stories.”
Aside from “Feud: Capote vs. the Swans,” Baitz is best known as the creator of “Brothers & Sisters,” which ran on ABC for five seasons from 2006 to 2011, and developing NBC’s “The Slap” based on the Australian series of the same name. Other writing credits include episodes of “The West Wing” and “Alias” along with the 2015 movie “Stonewall.”
Baken wrote two episodes of “American Horror Stories” Season 3, which ran in October. He also wrote and directed the 2021 movie “Mailman.”
Kardashian is also working on a comedy film titled “The Fifth Wheel” where she plays an outsider in a group of four other female friends.
The Kardashian-led Hulu series will be Murphy’s first new Disney project since entering an overall deal with the company in June after exiting his Netflix deal.

Deadline was first to report the news of the series commitment.
In true Kardashian fashion, the series was pitched to Kardashian and Kris Jenner, the “momager” of the Kardashian-Jenner empire. Sources tell Deadline that both committed “right away.” Murphy, Kardashian, and Jenner will be executing producing the series, which have begun casting for actress’ to play Kardashian’s co-lawyers and an actor to play her onscreen love interest.
Previously, Kardashian has said she is studying for the bar exam in real life and looking to get her law degree. “I always joke with my mom, who’s my manager. I say, ‘Kim K is retiring, and I’m just going to be an attorney,’” Kardashian told CNN in April.
Sources indicate that the series, penned by Jon Robin Baitz (Brothers & Sisters), is considering starting production in late 2024, with a premiere in early 2025.
