“Aw, that’s sweet. Michael, roses are read, April is gray, but when you wake up tomorrow…” he pauses, before panicking, “Oh no!”
Viewers saw the singer swinging his hips with ramen on his head, a subtle nod to Timberlakes former beach-blonde curls back in the day, lip synching “It’s gonna be May.”

Over the years, Timberlakes pronunciation of the lyric has counted in endless memes over the years.
In a video shared to social media on April 30, the star joked about his pronunciation of the “It’s Gonna Be Me” line and how “It’s gonna be May” has become a lifelong joke.
“What’s a word you pronounced incorrectly one time and it still haunts you to this day?” asked influencer @umgabi in a TikTok video, which Timberlake stitched with a cheeky response, as he said: “Um… ‘Me.'”
Timberlake’s bandmate Joey Fatone told PEOPLE recently that the band trades “It’s gonna be May” memes back and forth in an *NSYNC text chain.
The star even went on to explain how the running joke started.
“It was just, ‘It’s gonna be me.’ When you sing it, it sounds a lot harsher if you’re trying to go, ‘It’s gonna be meeeee.’ It doesn’t sound very good to the ear,” Fatone said. “So when we pronounced it, [producer] Max Martin came up with the idea of saying, ‘It’s gonna be May.’ But we never knew that it was going to take off and become its own thing. And every year you get crazy stuff. But it’s hilarious. And we might as well embrace it.”
