Actress Lili Reinhart shared a now deleted tweet about the satisfaction of seeing the public slowly start to recognize the allegedly “toxic” men of the entertainment industry. Fans suspect the message was inspired by Joe Jonas.

Reinhart, who starred in the CW’s “Riverdale” throughout its seven season run and a number of other projects, has long been friends with fellow actress Sophie Turner, Jonas’ wife from whom he recently filed for divorce. The actress has long been a mental health advocate, outspoken feminist, and critic of toxic masculinity throughout her career in the spotlight.

Though Reinhart deleted the original message, she previously posted a different tweet, encouraging the internet to stop villainizing women. Now, viewers are wondering if the two messages were related.

The actress’ comments were largely met with support from both her fans and onlookers alike. Several narratives have emerged via anonymous sources to TMZ and Page Six regarding Turner’s divorce from Jonas, ranging from her alleged partying habits to an incident caught on a ring security camera.

Others refer back to pre-divorce interviews from months and years ago in which Turner describes herself as the exact opposite–a home body, and Jonas as a “social butterfly.” Readers are now calling out the publications for allegedly publishing false claims from Jonas’ PR team. None of these theories have been confirmed or denied at this time.

Social Media Reactions

Fans are praising the overwhelmingly negative response to the strange narratives spinning on Sophie Turner. Tabloid misogyny has long plagued the entertainment industry, and the public eye has shifted their perspectives since the outcome of the Free Britney movement surrounding Britney Spears.

Others resurfaced claims about Reinhart’s ex boyfriend, Cole Sprouse‘s, alleged emotionally abusive habits. Some sense that Reinhart’s defense of women in similar relationships could stem from personal experience. The actress is now in a relationship with actor and TikTok creator Jack Martin.

Neither Turner nor Jonas have spoken on the narratives being spread directly. Yesterday, Turner shared a joint statement requesting privacy amid the divorce for the sake of the couple’s two children. Jonas was seen today eating breakfast in Los Angeles with the couple’s two daughters.

The situation has countless TikTok creators and social media users at large acknowledging that motherhood looks different for everyone, and that Turner is likely not a bad mother amid the negative rumors surfacing.

TikTok creator Christian Walker shared that he felt that Turner deserved more support from Jonas surrounding the balance between her family and career.
