Actress and singer Lindsay Lohan has announced her first pregnancy. Lohan married her husband financier Bader Shammas in 2022, and the couple made their announcement via Lohan’s Instagram. The post featured an image of a baby onesie emblazoned with the words “coming soon…” Several fellow actors and entertainment industry professionals who have crossed paths with Lohan over the years wished her and her family well in the comments. One of them was her former Mean Girls costar Amanda Seyfried.

Lohan recently made her return to acting following a long hiatus from the spotlight. She began her career as a child actress, appearing in films like The Parent Trap alongside Dennis Quaid and Freaky Friday alongside Oscar winning actress Jamie Lee Curtis. She went on to star in a number of other teen films throughout the 2000s and early 2010s, from Herbie Fully Loaded to Confessions Of A Teenage Drama Queen.

Her hiatus from acting was born from several stints in rehabilitation centers. Lohan spoke to acclaimed television host Oprah Winfrey regarding her alcoholism and drug addiction in her 20s, specifically her life-changing DUI arrest. In 2020, she checked out of her last rehab stint at a facility in Utah, and hasn’t looked back since.

Since embarking on her sober journey, she has made her first big screen return with Netflix’s Falling For Christmas, which she starred in opposite Glee alum Chord Overstreet. Lohan has reportedly signed a three picture deal with Netflix, with two other projects expected to be released later this year.

Today, fans applaud her resolve and dedication to her healing journey, which was under heavy press scrutiny early in her career.

Some fans are even suggesting a plot for a Parent Trap sequel that would include a pregnancy storyline.

Others are hoping that the baby will be born on October 3rd. The date has become an iconic reference to Lohan’s role in Mean Girls.

Lohan and Shammas haven’t confirmed the sex of the baby just yet, but social media can’t wait for all the fetch baby fashion Lohan will style her child in regardless.
