Madonna is expected to recover from a bacterial infection that resulted in a multi-day hospital stay, but the singer will be postponing her tour.

Guy Oseary, the talent manager and producer for the star, confirmed that Madonna had been admitted to intensive care on June 24th due to the infection.

“Her health is improving, however she is still under medical care. A full recovery is expected,” he wrote in an Instagram statement. “At this time we will need to pause all commitments, which includes the tour.”

Oseary went on to say that more details will be available when her team has them, “including a new start date for the tour and for rescheduled shows.”

The Celebration Tour was announced back in January with talent like Amy Shcumer, Lil Wayne, Kate Berlant, Jack Black and more. Diplo and others even made cameos.

The performer’s tour is also set to explore the musical journey across four decades and was set to start in July in Vancouver. The tour even featured those like Bob the Drag Queen at all dates.

Madonna underwent hip surgery back in 2020 a year after she was injured while on tour. This saw the singer also cancel several North American shows.
