It’s  here! And yep! Megan Fox just opened up about her experience on Ayahuasca with her boyfriend, Machine Gun Kelly, on Jimmy Kimmel with guest host Arsenio Hall. Where she apparently went to her own personal hell? Sounds Scary- Let’s talk about it..

And, in case you need a quick refresher- Megan Fox is an American actress and model who has made multiple appearances in major film franchises. You probably remember her from Transformers as Mikaela… or Jennifer’s Body where she starred as Jennifer. She became a prominent face on the movie screens between the mid 2000s and the  early 2010’s.

She kinda disappeared from the screens for a while… but is making a comeback with her new movie Midnight in the Switchgrass which premiered three days ago on July 23rd… AND also stars her now-boyfriend, Machine Gun Kelly. Which is where they caught googly eyes for one another. “The pair started dating in 2020 after meeting on set of upcoming indie film”, ‘Midnight In The Switchgrass’ (per cosmopolitan).

And yes, after they made their relationship official to the public, they left on a secluded Ayahuasca experience in Costa Rica where she tried hallucinogenic tea in the wilderness.. Which led her to her own personal hell!? If You’ve never heard of

Well, that just doesn’t sound fun at all… and while she reported this all happening because of Ayahuasca… fans are curious what it is?? What does it do??? How does it work??? So here’s what you need to know-

Okay- so.. Ayahuasca is a hallucination-inducing drug that has been used for centuries by tribes in South America during spiritual ceremonies and is a brew that is made from a plant and root which together combine and make DMT that can actually be absorbed! According to healthline, “Ayahuasca, also known as the tea, the vine, and a la purga is a brew made from leaves of the Psychotria viridis shrub along with the stalks of the Banisteriopsis caapi vine, though other plants and ingredients can be added as well.”

And, just a quick High School Biology reminder- DMT is a chemical substance that occurs in many plants and animals and is regularly used as a recreational drug and prepared by various cultures for ritual purposes.

Here, Megan talked about how this medicine is a form of therapy… and she is right. The MedicalNewsToday confirms how this drug is used to “treat physical issues and mental problems as well as deal with spiritual crises.”

And, since Megan isn’t the first celeb to go on this retreat.. It must be pretty impactful.

Lindsey Lohan even experienced Ayahuasca in 2014 and credits it to helping her overcome her past drug addictions. Megan recalls the experience as, “going to hell for eternity”, “and taking long journeys to go get water because the village water was scarce. She also recalled drinking lemongrass tea until you puked your heart out to recreate a vulnerable experience,” she told Arsenio Hall.

This journey seems a little overwhelming and intense… and it’s also a little bit pricey… possibly at 10 thousand dollars to get an authentic experience like Megan. So, if you want to experience something similar… but don’t want to travel all the way to Costa Rica- you could look into this Viral TikTok drink that may get you somewhere!?!

Yep, this is a totally accessible Micro-Psychedelic Mood Booster using Kava- which is pretty similar to ayahuasca through the fact that they are intoxicating substances derived from plants! And people on TikTok are really enjoying testing it out!!

And, as for how safe all these things are….. Ayahuasca is still being medically tested but mostly, the pushback is from those who have had a negative experience., which is likely to happen as each person’s journey on the drug is completely different…. As for the psychedelic water all the safety precautions are on their website but so far, there has only been pretty positive reviews!!!
