Megyn Kelly, the former Fox News primetime anchor who made a successful transition into the podcast and digital media space, has announced the launch of her own podcast network, MK Media. The network will feature a mix of video and audio podcasts aimed at offering fresh perspectives on news, entertainment, and politics.

MK Media will start with three flagship shows, each hosted by prominent journalists and personalities. Veteran ABC News and Bloomberg journalist Mark Halperin will host Next Up, a news show focused on the latest developments in current events. Daily Mail culture columnist Maureen Callahan will helm The Nerve, a show centered around pop culture, celebrity scandals, and entertainment news. Meanwhile, influencer and political commentator Link Lauren, a former communications adviser to the presidential campaign of Robert F. Kennedy Jr., will lead Spot On, a news-focused podcast offering in-depth analysis.

Kelly, whose previous career at Fox News helped catapult her into the public eye, is thrilled to expand her media empire with MK Media. She explained her vision for the network in a statement, expressing her excitement about working with Halperin, Callahan, and Lauren. “I’m thrilled to launch MK Media and to use our platform to help sane, reasonable, good-humored people build their own followings in this new media space,” she said. “I am a huge fan of Mark’s, Maureen’s, and Link’s, and I know our audience will be as excited as I am to hear more from them.”

Kelly, who has built a massive digital following, hinted at expanding MK Media into other genres beyond news and entertainment in the future. “We expect to have more names joining the network soon,” she added, “and we’re looking forward to diversifying into other areas beyond just the political and cultural spheres.”

A Star-Studded Lineup

The three initial shows on MK Media’s slate each feature unique perspectives and a range of backgrounds in media, journalism, and entertainment.

Mark Halperin, who previously worked as a political analyst for ABC News and Bloomberg, will host Next Up, a show focused on breaking news and political coverage. Halperin, known for his insightful commentary and analysis, expressed his enthusiasm about joining Kelly’s new venture. “America is filled with quality sandboxes; I can say without fear of contradiction that the Megyn Kelly sandbox is as good as it gets these days,” he said in a statement. “I’m thrilled to play Dr. Phil to Megyn’s Oprah, but that metaphor might be lost on some.”

Maureen Callahan, who has written for major outlets such as Vanity Fair and the New York Post, will take the reins of The Nerve. The show will focus on the world of celebrity culture, entertainment, and the scandals that captivate the public’s attention. Callahan expressed her excitement at working with Kelly: “What an unexpected joy getting to know (and love) Megyn Kelly. But for her to give me my own show, on her new network, is beyond anything I could have anticipated,” she said. “I can’t wait to get going over on The Nerve, digging into pop culture, celebrity scandals, and all the stories that captivate, aggravate, and fascinate.”

Link Lauren, a rising political influencer and former adviser to Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s presidential campaign, will bring his digital-savvy approach to Spot On. Lauren, who has gained a following on platforms like TikTok, is enthusiastic about working with Kelly on this new project. “Megyn is a powerhouse whose work ethic and journalism inspire me,” he said. “This venture is a win not only for me but for my existing audience and those who’ve been dismissed by the mainstream media. My goal is to always deliver the news in a way that’s fact-based and entertaining — that’s what you’ll get from Spot On, and I can’t wait to hit the ground running.”

Steve Krakauer, the executive producer behind The Megyn Kelly Show and AM Update, will oversee the production and development of MK Media’s podcasts, ensuring a high level of quality and consistency across all shows.

The Rise of Podcast Networks

Kelly’s move to create MK Media reflects a growing trend in the podcast industry, where top creators and media personalities are establishing their own networks to capitalize on their established followings. Podcasts and digital media have become powerful platforms for delivering news, entertainment, and commentary, particularly in the realm of political commentary.

Kelly herself has already seen considerable success in the podcasting space. She launched her daily podcast, The Megyn Kelly Show, in 2020. The show quickly gained a large following, with Kelly discussing a wide range of topics, from politics to pop culture, in a candid and accessible way. Her decision to move to a live radio format with SiriusXM in 2021 further expanded her reach, and the podcast’s video version, which is streamed on YouTube, has racked up millions of views each month. In early 2025, Kelly launched AM Update With Megyn Kelly, a 15-minute daily news show offering quick insights on the most pressing stories of the day.

The success of Kelly’s existing ventures speaks to the growing importance of video podcasts, particularly on platforms like YouTube, where Kelly boasts a subscriber base of over 3.5 million. YouTube, with more than 1 billion active users each month, has become an indispensable platform for podcasters and digital creators looking to reach new audiences.

Other creators, like Call Her Daddy host Alex Cooper, have also launched their own networks, with Cooper’s The Unwell Network serving as a prime example of how stars can leverage their brand to diversify their content. Additionally, late-night host Bill Maher has ventured into the podcast network business with Club Random, showing that even established TV personalities are seeking new opportunities in the podcasting and digital media space.

The Growing Influence of Conservative-leaning Podcasts

For Kelly, MK Media also offers an opportunity to further solidify her presence in the conservative-leaning digital media space. Conservative creators and commentators have found significant success in the podcasting and YouTube arenas, where audiences have shown a keen interest in alternative viewpoints to mainstream media. Kelly, with her extensive experience as a journalist and her established following, is well-positioned to capitalize on this growing trend.

As political and cultural divisions in the U.S. continue to shape public discourse, platforms like MK Media are becoming essential spaces for those seeking news and commentary outside of traditional media outlets. For Kelly, the creation of her own network allows her to expand her influence in both the political and entertainment spheres, offering her audience a variety of new shows that align with their interests.

Looking Ahead: Expansion Plans for MK Media

While the focus of MK Media will initially be on news, politics, and entertainment, Kelly has hinted that the network could expand into other genres in the future. “We are going to see some other names join soon,” she said. “We’ll explore other genres and content areas as the network continues to grow and evolve.”

As MK Media prepares to launch, Kelly’s vision for the future of digital media seems clear: to provide a platform for talented creators and journalists to reach their audiences while offering unique, independent perspectives in an increasingly polarized media landscape.
