Popular podcaster Joe Rogan is now trending along with Michelle Obama on Twitter after Rogan states he believes that Obama would beat Trump in a presidential race. In a recent episode on The Joe Rogan Experience, Rogan began discussing the potential Democratic ticket for the presidential race in 2024. He states that if Obama were to run for president, with Kamala Harris as vice president, that would be a “double dose of diversity.”

Along with this prediction, he noted that in order for the Republicans to win, they would need to create a “super team.” He believes that former president Trump and the current Governor of Florida, Ron DeSantis, would be a challenge for the predicted Democratic team.

But, he also states that “I really believe if Michelle Obama runs, she wins. She’s great, she’s intelligent, she’s articulate, she’s the wife of the best president that we have had in our lifetime in terms of like a representative of intelligent articulate people.” He believes that the only thing that could stop Obama would be if she were to buy into “some of these policies that are destroying businesses in America and are making people scared. If she somehow or another supported or showed any support for lockdowns and mandates and all this craziness that’s going on.”

Twitter’s Reaction

Of course, Rogan’s predictions of the 2024 presidential election came as a surprise to many, especially Twitter, causing both Obama and Rogan to trend. Many felt it was surprising and a bit odd that Rogan had so much belief in Obama, and others felt that it was unnecessary for him to comment that Obama would beat Trump, as they felt this would be a given.

Those who like Rogan, and do not usually fall on the left side of the political spectrum, were disappointed to hear Rogan’s comments. Though Rogan says he is not defined to one political side or the other, his beliefs are usually most supported by Republicans or those who fall on the conservative side, and these listeners were disappointed to not only hear his trust in Obama but for him to also call Barack Obama “the best president in our lifetime.”

Others felt upset that Rogan would mention Obama, especially since she often had a hard time with scrutiny and with the media’s criticism during her 8 years as a First Lady. Overall, it seemed like Twitter was incredibly surprised with all aspects of Rogan’s comments about the 2024 election and his predictions of what the conservative and liberal tickets may look like.
