Miley Cyrus Reveals What Lead to Divorce With Liam Hemsworth in Latest TikTok Series

Miley Cyrus got candid about the end of her eight-month marriage to Liam Hemsworth after they were together for nearly ten years. The singer claimed she had a revelation about the relationship at the 2019 Galstonbury music festival.

Miley Cyrus has been letting fans in on more intimate parts of her life more than ever. The former Disney star just let fans know parts of her life from performing with Destiny’s child to even starring in Hannah Montana on her latest TikTok series to promote the single ‘Used to Be Young’.

And now the singer let everyone in on the real reason her marriage ended.

Cyrus said that while performing at the Glastonbury music festival back in 2019 she made a realization that the relationship between herself and Hemsworth would not work for her life in the future.

Miley went onto explain in the video saying, “So Glastonbury was in June, which was when the decision had been made that me and Liam’s commitment to be married just really came from—a place of love first, because we’ve been together for 10 years—but also from a place of trauma and just trying to rebuild as quickly as we could.”

As fans recall, the decade long on-again/off-again relationship with Liam had many rumors on what really happened toward the end of their relationship. The two, who met on the set of their 2009 rumors for the Last Song, wed in 2018.

However, just shortly after, Liam Hemsworth filed for divorce in August of 2019 with the former couple finalizing the arrangement in January of 2020.

Previously, Cyrus admitted that she doesn’t regret their marriage. Back in May of 2023, she stated to British Vogue, “I wouldn’t erase my story or want it to be erased. “Having an interesting life makes for interesting storytelling.”

As far as what both of the two are up to these days, Cyrus has gone on to date musician Maxx Morando since late 2021. Meanwhile Liam has been keeping his romantic relationships out of the spotlight, but the actor has moved on with model Gabriella Brooks.
