Amid allegations and controversy, MrBeast has taken decisive steps to address claims of misconduct within his company.
“I have been focused on hiring an independent third party to conduct a thorough investigation to ensure I have all the facts,” stated MrBeast. “That said, I’ve seen enough online and taken immediate action to remove Ava from the company, my channel, and any association with MrBeast. I do not condone or support any of the inappropriate actions.”
The statement comes in response to allegations raised by a Reddit user known only as “Dawson,” who claimed in a video posted earlier this week that there was prior knowledge of the situation by prominent YouTube personality MrBeast.
“My name is Dawson, I worked at MrBeast from February to May of this year, 2024,” Dawson asserted in the video, set to Kendrick Lamar’s track “They Not Like Us.” “Kris is the tip of the iceberg. And when [YouTuber] Jake the Viking says MrBeast knew, yeah, MrBeast knew.”
Dawson further alleged, “I heard many times that Ava Kris Tyson is a major liability, but they can’t get rid of her because she’s already threatened legal action and she knows too much. And when all this information comes out about everything that she knew, everything other people know, I promise you on everything MrBeast is done.”
The video prompted a response from the figure, who promised to allow independent investigators the time necessary to conduct a comprehensive investigation and take further actions based on their findings.
Despite Dawson’s claims, no evidence supporting his allegations of employment at MrBeast or the “proof” he mentioned providing to Reddit moderators has been substantiated.

In light of the controversy, Tyson issued a statement on social media on Tuesday, denying the allegations and apologizing to her fans. She announced her decision to step down from MrBeast’s channel, stating, “I would like to apologize for any of my past behavior or comments if it hurt or offended anyone. It was not my intent.”
Tyson emphasized, “Seeing recent events we’ve mutually decided it’s best I permanently step away from all things MrBeast and social media to focus on my family and mental health.”
Additionally, another individual known as LavaGS, age 20, refuted the grooming allegations in a post on X, asserting, “These videos are massive lies and twisting the truth.” LavaGS defended Tyson, stating, “Ava never did anything wrong and just made a few edgy jokes. I was never exploited or taken advantage of.”
Amidst the turmoil, Tyson condemned the amalgamation of issues, stating, “To lump these two factors together to create a narrative that my behavior extended beyond bad, edgy jokes is disgusting and did not happen.”
Tyson, a transgender woman, has been a prominent figure on MrBeast’s YouTube channel, which holds the record for the most subscribers on the platform, currently exceeding 205 million.
Forbes reported MrBeast’s significant earnings of $54 million annually in 2022, primarily from YouTube ad revenues. Known for elaborate stunts and giveaways in his videos, MrBeast’s productions, such as a real-life recreation of Netflix’s “Squid Game,” have garnered millions of views and significant production costs.
