Streaming giant Netflix attempted to launch their second ever livestream event with their ‘Love Is Blind’ Season 4 reunion. Users on the platform waited for hours for an episode that never actually aired. Others that actually watched were upset with Vanessa Lachey and her comments with the cast.

‘Love Is Blind’ attempted to go live for their season reunion that many were eagerly waiting for. But for some reason, the episode never appeared on the platform until much much later.

The episode was to premiere Sunday night at 5:00 PM for west coast viewers. However, people logged onto the app only to receive an error message.

Behind the Netflix Delay

The message read “Pardon the interruption. We’re having trouble playing Netflix. Please check your internet connection and try again.” Shortly afterward, Netflix addressed the issue online with a tweet reading “Love is … late #LoveIsBlindLIVE will be on in 15 minutes!” Even the livestream on Instagram changed it’s graphic to fit the delay.

And Netflix didn’t stop there. The platform really piled it all on social media to not lose their viewers for this livestream event.

In a follow up tweet, Netflix let everyone know that the reunion was going to be well worth the wait with an accompanying photo of season 4 participant Irina. Following the delay of the live reunion, even Blockbuster and other major brands piled in with responses trolling the failed attempt.

However, after what seems to be thirty minutes and then nearly an hour, fans became disappointed and honestly upset.

After the long wait, Netflix took to social media to give an update stating: “To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned. We’re filming it now and we’ll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and sorry.”

Now for those people on site who were at Netflix’s event got to see the show unfold as it should have. But for the rest, the streaming giant announced the show would be coming out at 12:00 PM for west coast viewers the following day.

Vanessa Lachey Comments

Some couldn’t even watch other Netflix shows due to the error on the platform. Fans were upset, shocked and surprised to be quite honest with the announcement. However, for those who got to see it, there were some mixed feelings.

Many viewers thought Vanessa Lachey had bias with her questions for cast members like Paul for rejecting  Micah at the altar. Others found it upsetting on Lachey grilling Marshall on not taking his ex-fiance’s feelings into consideration after she could not see a relationship in their future. In the past, Lachey drew criticism on the show for her bias. Others believed Nick Lachey barely got in any words.

There has not been any official word on why this delay happened or how many people turned in to the season finale reunion.
