After welcoming three children last year, the host of “Masked Singer” announces he is expecting another child with Abby De La Rosa, which will be his ninth child after announcing Bri Tiesi is pregnant with his eighth. Although he did not specify the number of children he expects for 2022, he jokes that the “stork is on the way” and adds “If you thought it was a lot of kids last year.” He made the announcement on his morning talk show while also confirming it on a podcast that aired yesterday. Now, Twitter is celebrating for him, but cannot help but wonder about the number of children Cannon expects for this year.

Last year, Cannon had twins with DJ Abby De La Rosa and a son with Alyssa Scott. Before this, he had twins with Mariah Carey. After telling his therapist he was expecting a child with Bri Tiesi last year, which would be his eighth, his therapist suggested he practices celibacy. However, he broke this pact in December after his son passed away at five months old due to a tumor. But, he says that “But I was probably celibate for a month and a half strong. I was trying to do it. I had a new show, new energy, I was dealing with a lot.”

Although some made light of the situation, others found a serious issue with this. After Cannon says he broke his celibacy due to grappling with the loss of his son, some worried that he was trying to fill a hole, which cannot be fixed by a child. And, after Cannon commented that he has guilt for not spending enough time with all of his children, some worried that Cannon was creating “broken homes.” One person on Twitter writes “Nick Cannon yet again has 2 women pregnant at the same time, like creating a broken home is a chess game, and yall keep saying its ok cause he got money.”

But, since we only see a glimpse of a celebrity’s life and not the entire picture of their lives, it remains impossible to fully understand Cannon’s interpersonal relationships with his children or their mothers.
