The Screen Actors Guild Awards has officially announced its ambassadors for the 31st annual ceremony, set to take place in 2025. On January 24, SAG revealed that actors Noah Centineo and Sofia Carson will serve as this year’s ambassadors, with both stars being celebrated for their commitment to humanitarian causes, their positive influence on younger generations of performers, and their exemplary representation of the acting profession.

According to a press release, Centineo, 28, and Carson, 31, were selected for their roles as both entertainers and advocates. The announcement described them as individuals who “exemplify the utmost values of the acting profession” and who actively use their platforms to support various public service and humanitarian efforts.

As SAG Awards ambassadors, Centineo and Carson will provide fans with “exclusive behind-the-scenes access” to the ceremony, in addition to participating in several pre-show events. One of the key initiatives they will support is the SAG-AFTRA Foundation’s efforts to provide disaster relief to members impacted by the recent wildfires in Los Angeles. This marks an important part of the Foundation’s mission to assist performers who have faced hardships due to natural disasters and other crises.

Noah Centineo: From Heartthrob to Executive Producer

Noah Centineo’s rise to fame was fast and impactful, with his portrayal of Peter Kavinsky in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before capturing the hearts of audiences worldwide. Since then, he has continued to expand his career in both acting and production. Centineo recently made a cameo reprisal of his role as Peter in the Netflix spinoff XO, Kitty.

In addition to his acting work, Centineo has branched out into producing, notably as an executive producer for the popular Netflix series The Recruit. He currently stars as CIA lawyer Owen Hendricks in the show, which will premiere its second season later this month. Centineo also has an exciting new role in the war drama Warfare, alongside actors Charles Melton, Kit Connor, and Will Poulter.

In a recent interview with PEOPLE, Centineo reflected on his career goals, revealing that he plans to return to romantic roles eventually. “At some point, I would like to go back to romance. I don’t know if it would be YA, but I do want to go back to romance,” he shared. For now, Centineo’s focus remains on working with filmmakers he admires, continuing to grow both as an actor and a producer. “My goals are to work with filmmakers that I love and that I think are incredible,” he said, adding, “Who knows where it’s going to lead.”

Sofia Carson: A Disney Darling Turned Global Advocate

Sofia Carson’s career trajectory has been marked by both her acting and music career. She first gained recognition on the Disney Channel, particularly through the Descendants franchise, where she starred as Evie. Carson’s career has since evolved to include a mix of acting and philanthropy, alongside a strong presence in the music industry.

Beyond her acting, Carson is an active advocate for children’s rights, serving as a UNICEF Ambassador. She also recently collaborated with legendary tenor Andrea Bocelli for a duet on his latest album, Duets – 30th Anniversary. Kristen Bell to Host, Jane Fonda to Receive Life Achievement Award

The 31st Annual SAG Awards will also feature a host of star power, with Kristen Bell set to return as the ceremony’s host. Bell, 44, previously hosted the awards in 2018, and fans can expect her signature wit and charm to be on full display once again.

In addition to Bell’s hosting duties, the prestigious SAG Life Achievement Award will be presented to acting legend Jane Fonda. Fonda, 86, will become the 61st recipient of the award, which honors individuals who have made extraordinary contributions to the acting profession. Fonda’s selection highlights her decades-long impact on both the entertainment industry and her advocacy work.

The 2025 SAG Awards will be a star-studded event, with Centineo and Carson bringing their energy and passion to the stage as ambassadors. Their commitment to their craft and their communities promises to make this year’s awards ceremony even more meaningful for both fans and the acting community at large.
