Greased Up Poles in Philadelphia Could Not Stop Eagles Fans From Climbing
I’m from Boston, Massachusetts and we are, by all accounts, a weirdo city infused with goons — and look, I believe the clinical term for it is “a buncha chowdahheads,” but folks — if popular culture has to lead me to believe anything, it’s that we have a lot of fellow goon brothers in Philadelphia. Goon Brothers who can only be stopped by ideas that could — in polite society — be called rejects from a Wile E. Coyote cartoon. Take, for example, how the Philadelphia Police Department dealt with the onslaught of Eagles fans. They were terrified they would be climbing up light poles, so they decided to tackle the issue by greasing the paint with Crisco.
Yup, they made the poles too slippery to climb. Well, the Eagles defeated the Vikings in the NFC Championship game yesterday, and folks — Eagles fans were sure to climb those darned poles.
What do you think of these Eagles fans? More importantly, do you think the Eagles have a chance against the Patriots in the Super Bowl? Let us know in the comments.
