The Hollywood Walk of Fame has unveiled its highly anticipated Class of 2025, celebrating over 30 luminaries from various entertainment sectors with stars on its iconic boulevard. This year’s honorees span the realms of motion pictures, television, live theatre/live performance, radio, recording, and sports entertainment, reflecting the diverse talents that have left indelible marks on popular culture.
In the motion picture category, the lineup includes acclaimed director John Carpenter, versatile actors Jessica Chastain, Colin Farrell, Jane Fonda, Emilio Estevez, Nia Long, Lisa Lu, Glynn Turman, Toni Vaz, and veteran actor Bill Duke. Each of these individuals has contributed significantly to the cinematic landscape through their performances and artistic contributions.
Television personalities joining the Walk of Fame this year encompass Fran Drescher, known for her iconic role in “The Nanny,” Lauren Graham of “Gilmore Girls” fame, renowned scientist and educator Bill Nye, comedic talents Molly Shannon and Sherri Shepherd, actor Courtney B. Vance, esteemed journalist Chris Wallace, and the creative duo of Trey Parker and Matt Stone, honored jointly in a double ceremony for their groundbreaking work on “South Park.”
In the recording category, music legends Fantasia, Depeche Mode, Los Bukis, The B-52s, Green Day, The Isley Brothers, Busta Rhymes, George Strait, Keith Urban, and the late Prince will receive stars. For live theatre/live performance, ballet star Misty Copeland and actor Alan Cumming will be recognized for their exceptional contributions to the stage, while sports entertainment will see soccer icon David Beckham and baseball legend Orel Hershiser honored for their achievements on and off the field. Additionally, radio personality Adam Carolla will be celebrated for his impactful career in broadcasting.
The selection process, overseen by the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce’s Board of Directors, culminated in the announcement of this prestigious class. Honorees have up to two years to schedule their star dedication ceremonies following their selection. The unveiling was made public by prominent figures including Niecy Nash, Joe Mantegna, Jimmy Jam, and Steven Nissen, President of the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce.
