Saint West, the 8-year-old son of Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, has found himself at the center of controversy after his YouTube account was deleted following the posting of an anti-Kamala Harris meme. The Daily Beast reported Wednesday that the account, which launched in September under the username @TheGoatSaint, is no longer accessible, displaying an error message stating, “This page isn’t available. Sorry about that. Try searching for something else.”

The YouTube channel had generated buzz when Kardashian shared its launch on her Instagram, encouraging her followers to subscribe. She described the excitement of allowing Saint to have his own platform, sharing a photo of an “extensive contract” he had to sign, which included rules about what he could and could not share online. The document specified that he was not allowed to comment on personal family matters, film while his older sister North was recording music, or post videos without showing them to an adult first.

However, the situation took a turn when screenshots of the alleged meme circulated on social media. The animated clip featured a character declaring he had “stepped in s–t” before revealing a picture of Harris on the sole of his shoe. This political content led to speculation among X users that Kardashian, 44, might have intervened by taking Saint’s phone, given the inappropriateness of the post for a child.

The reaction to the deleted account has sparked a range of responses online. Some users joked that the meme was “like father, like son,” referencing Kanye West’s past endorsement of Donald Trump, a theme that seems to resonate within the family’s social media presence. In the lead-up to the Nov. 5 election, Kardashian has not publicly endorsed either Trump, 78, or Harris, 60, although her children’s activities have drawn attention to their political leanings.

Saint’s account removal comes shortly after Kardashian expressed her pride in allowing her son to join the platform. She had written, “I finally allowed Saint to have a YouTube channel,” and shared her hopes for the channel’s future. However, with the recent incident, it seems that the guidelines she established in the contract may need to be reinforced or adjusted.

North West, Saint’s older sister, was the first of Kardashian’s children to join social media, creating TikTok videos on a shared account with their mother since 2021. Kardashian has expressed her desire to nurture North’s creativity, stating in a 2023 interview with Time magazine that she plans to “fight for [North] to be creative,” even if it goes against Kanye’s wishes regarding their children’s social media usage.

Following their divorce in 2020 after six years of marriage, Kardashian and West have taken different paths. Kardashian has dated comedian Pete Davidson, while West married Bianca Censori, a Yeezy employee, in December 2022. The former couple continues to co-parent their four children, including Saint, North, Chicago, 6, and Psalm, 5.

The deletion of Saint’s YouTube account highlights the complexities of parenting in the digital age, especially for public figures like Kardashian and West. While Kardashian aims to provide her children with creative outlets, she also faces the challenge of navigating the pressures and consequences that come with their online presence.

As the political climate intensifies with the upcoming election, the involvement of Kardashian’s children in social media discussions may continue to draw scrutiny. Kardashian has maintained a relatively neutral stance on political endorsements but has used her platform to engage with various social issues, including criminal justice reform and women’s rights.
