Sam Asghari’s new ad with PETA had some people questioning after it poked fun at his split with Britney Spears.

On Tuesday, December 19, People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) announced a new campaign featuring the estranged husband of Britney Spears, just a few months after the two split.

Many online have been calling out the organization for digging at Britney Spears in the ad for allegedly buying her new puppy Snow.

“You can’t buy love! Lucky enough, actor @samasghari is showing the world that millions of dogs and cats are looking to be adopted into loving forever homes,” the captiion of the post by PETA stated.

In the ad, many see Asghari holding a pooch lying shirtless with his arm around another furry friend.

“I purchased my dog and I love her. But now that I know more about the homeless animal crisis, I would never buy another dog again,” the former fitness trainer, 29, stated in a video.

Asghari’s new campaign involvement spread around Britney’s fanbase as they took to social media to call out the “hypocritical” partnership, as well as Asghari’s subtle dig at his former flame.
