Selena Gomez is not holding back with how she feels about an AI version of herself singing The Weeknd’s song ‘Starboy’.

A fan account recently posted the video of Selena’s AI generated voice and captioned the clip translated from Turkish “How did you find Selena’s viral cover of starboy voiced with artificial intelligence?”

Selena Gomez had a cheeky response when it came to how she felt about the track. Gomez said it was honestly ‘scary.’

Gomez and her reaction video sent fans in a frenzy stating, “no way she commented on a weeknd video.”

The clip features Selena’s voice singing the pre-chorus: “House so empty, need a centerpiece / Twenty racks a table, cut from ebony / Cut that ivory into skinny pieces / Then she clean it with her face, man, I love my baby, ah / You talkin’ money, need a hearin’ aid / You talkin’ ’bout me, I don’t see the shade / Switch up my style, I take any lane / I switch up my cup, I kill any pain.”

The Weeknd dropped the single back in November of 2016, just a few months before he and Selena Gomez confirmed their romance after a date night in Los Angeles.

The couple was spotted at Girgio Baldi in 2017 with sources telling publications, “They were there for three hours! Just the two of them… They came out and were so happy.”

The two shortly split in October of 2017 just under a year of dating.

“It’s been hard for them to come to the realization that this is the direction things were heading, but it’s been hard for months,” an insider told E! following the breakup. “They have been open and honest about it and where they were going. Distance definitely played a factor.”

The Weeknd later was linked to ex Bella Hadid, and the two ultimately gave things a go until 2019.

The Weeknd also later went on to produce and star in the HBO series ‘The Idol’. The series did not get picked up for a second season and had backlash from Gomez fans. Many claimed that the series pulled inspiration from the “Wolves” singer while others disputed otherwise.
