Biles made it clear that she did not purchase the overpriced drink. “Like, are you insane?” she asked in the video. “Obviously, I didn’t buy it. But why would you even try to play me like that? Like, that’s wild.”

The video, which quickly went viral, has attracted significant attention and sparked a flood of reactions from Biles’ fans. Many viewers expressed their disbelief and outrage in the comments section.

“$26K is crazy omg,” one commenter wrote, accompanied by a crying-face emoji.

Another fan agreed, saying, “$26K??? That’s insane.” A third added, “$26K just made me mad bc what?!”

Some viewers speculated about the identity of the nightclub, with one person wondering, “Was it L’Arc?? 😭,” referring to a well-known upscale disco club in Paris. Biles had previously posted photos from L’Arc, celebrating the Olympics’ conclusion with her sister, which led some to connect the venue with the exorbitant charge.

Although Biles did not disclose the name of the club involved in the incident, her social media posts indicated she was at L’Arc Paris during her post-Olympics celebrations. In one Instagram post, Biles shared a photo from the venue showing a parade of bottles with Champagne, sparklers, and signs reading, “Gym Legend Simone Biles @L’Arc Paris” and “God 4 Life.”

Despite the shocking experience at the nightclub, Biles has had an impressive year. She became the most decorated gymnast in history at the 2024 Paris Olympics, earning three gold medals in the women’s artistic individual all-around, women’s artistic team all-around, and women’s vault, as well as a bronze medal in the women’s floor routine. This brings her total count to 11 Olympic medals and 30 World Championship medals.

In celebration of her historic achievements, Biles’ parents, Ronald and Nellie Biles, treated her to a luxurious gift. Biles shared on Threads that her parents purchased a Hermès purse for her in Paris. “My parents bought me my Hermès bag 🥰,” Biles confirmed. “Don’t be mad at me, be mad at your parents.”

Biles’ parents celebrated her accomplishments in style, further underscoring the significance of her Olympic victories.

In contrast, the extravagant nightclub charge stands out as a stark reminder of the sometimes excessive nature of celebrity culture and high-end nightlife. Despite the hefty price tag, Biles’ response underscores her disbelief and frustration over the attempt to charge such an astronomical sum for a single bottle of Champagne.
