Six Flags Entertainment Corporation, the world’s largest regional theme park company and a leading operator of water parks in North America, is gearing up for its most extreme Fright Fest yet, promising thrill-seekers a pulse-pounding experience with an array of terrifying horror franchises.
Dubbed Fright Fest Extreme – presented by Snickers, the annual event kicks off September 7 at Six Flags Great Adventure in New Jersey and Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles. This year’s extravaganza features an unprecedented lineup of immersive attractions inspired by iconic horror brands such as Lionsgate and Twisted Pictures’ SAW franchise, Netflix’s Stranger Things and Army of the Dead, Warner Bros. Discovery’s The Conjuring, Annabelle and The Nun, and Legendary Entertainment’s Trick ‘r Treat. Additionally, Six Flags Mexico will offer an exclusive maze based on DC Comics’ Dceased.

Among the highlights of this year’s Fright Fest:
- The SAW Franchise: Celebrates its 20th anniversary with an all-new experience plunging guests into Jigsaw’s twisted mind.
- The Conjuring Universe: Offers a tour of the Warrens’ most hair-raising cases with encounters featuring cursed artifacts from The Conjuring, Annabelle and The Nun.
- Stranger Things: Immerses guests into the eerie world of the popular Netflix series.
- Army of the Dead: Transports visitors to a post-apocalyptic Las Vegas overrun by zombies.
- Trick ‘r Treat: Guides guests through a dark candy trail nightmare, revealing supernatural encounters.
- Texas Chainsaw Massacre (2022): Guests experience the terror of Harlow alongside influencers, uncovering deadly secrets.
- DCeased: Based on the bestselling comic series, guests enter a world where the DC Universe has succumbed to Darkseid’s Anti-Life Equation.
Throughout Fright Fest, select Six Flags parks nationwide will host a mix of these chilling mazes, solidifying its reputation as the ultimate Halloween destination.

This year’s event also coincides with Six Flags’ ongoing expansion efforts, which include new rides, attractions, and guest experiences. In Los Angeles, the DC Heroes and Villains Fest features live action shows and exclusive character meet and greets, while New Jersey’s Savannah Sunset Resort & Spa offers a world-class resort experience amid one of the largest guided safaris in the country.

At Six Flags Magic Mountain in Los Angeles, Fright Fest Extreme will operate select Thursdays through Sundays from September 7 to November 3, featuring the park’s largest and longest Fright Fest ever.
In New Jersey at Six Flags Great Adventure, Fright Fest Extreme will take place on select Wednesdays through Sundays during the same period, offering 32 terror-filled nights.
