It is illegal to display the LGBTQ+ Pride Flag in 2018 World Cup host Russia. Russia is a homophobic country which punishes its LGBTQ members cruelly and with no respect for basic human rights. Given that, during the World Cup, some soccer fans displayed their pride covertly using soccer jerseys. Jerseys were put together to showcase the Pride Flag at Russian landmarks, and include Spain, The Netherlands, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina and Colombia.

The Hidden Flag is a project of ad agency LOLA MullenLowe and Spain pride group FELGTB. The activists hope Russia will reconsider its anti-LGBTQ+ policies.
