Netflix and the Duffer Brothers have unveiled behind-the-scenes footage from the set of “Stranger Things,” offering fans a glimpse into the highly anticipated fifth and final season currently halfway through filming. The teaser video, released Monday, features series co-creators Ross and Matt Duffer expressing their excitement for concluding the iconic story.
“This is the season the fans have been waiting for, and we hope you’re as excited as we are to get to tell the final chapter in this story,” Ross Duffer remarks in the teaser.
The footage showcases the return of Jamie Campbell Bower as Vecna, seen in full prosthetic-enhanced costume preparing for a climactic showdown with Eleven, portrayed by Millie Bobby Brown.
“If season 4 was big, season 5 definitely feels bigger,” Bower comments in the teaser.
Additionally, Terminator star Linda Hamilton makes a notable appearance on set, though details about her role remain under wraps. Hamilton expresses her enthusiasm for joining the series, saying, “I love this show so much. I really am a fan.”
The teaser also includes glimpses of the principal cast members reflecting on their journey through “Stranger Things,” with Millie Bobby Brown sharing, “I started when I was 10. I’m now turning 20 years old. It feels very weird.”

“It’s just so exciting. I think this is gonna be the best season yet,” adds Noah Schnapp, who plays Will Byers.
In casting updates, Netflix confirms Nell Fisher, Jake Connelly, and Alex Breaux as the latest additions to the ensemble.
The fifth season of “Stranger Things,” set to premiere in 2025, promises to deliver an epic conclusion with eight episodes described by Maya Hawke as feeling like “eight movies.”
“Our showrunners, Matt and Ross [Duffer], take a lot of responsibility,” Hawke noted in a recent podcast interview. “They have an amazing team of writers, but they’re very involved. They write a lot and they are very intense and serious about the quality of the continued writing, and so it takes a long time to write each season, and a long time to shoot them.”
While details of the plot remain tightly guarded, Caleb McLaughlin, who plays Lucas Sinclair, hints at the excitement on set, stating, “We’re about halfway through filming now and it’s exciting, so much going on.”
Despite season five marking the end of “Stranger Things,” the franchise continues to expand with projects like “Stranger Things: The First Shadow” live on stage in London’s West End and an animated spinoff series.
