Singer-songwriter Taylor Swift took home nine moon people at last night’s MTV Video Music Awards, all for her brutally honest pop hit “Anti-Hero.” Throughout the show, Swift showed plenty of support for her close friends also celebrating wins that night, notably actress-singer Selena Gomez and rapper Ice Spice.

Years ago, Swift was abruptly interrupted onstage by rapper Kanye West while giving her acceptance speech at the 2009 VMAs. West interrupted Swift to tell the audience that “Beyoncé should’ve won.” In the years since the incident, the singer has spoken on the pivotal career moment, and vowed to applaud anyone else, particularly young women, who take the stage to speak on their wins. Given the singer’s level of international fame, she finds herself unable to go to numerous bars and clubs in public without being mobbed by fans or fighting security concerns. This in mind, some joke that awards shows are Swift’s club, as she dances and sings along to every performance. Notably, the singer got very into Shakira‘s performance at this year’s ceremony. Shakira was presented with the Video Vanguard award.

Some fans of both singers compared one of Swift’s expressions to a popular meme of a character named Bibble from the 2005 Barbie franchise film “Barbie: Fairytopia.”

Additionally, fans took note of Swift cheering on her longtime close friend, Selena Gomez, when she won a moonman for her collaboration with Rema titled “Calm Down.” Gomez and Swift have maintained a close friendship since the early 2000s.

Amid ongoing rumors and fan theories that there is a feud between Swift and fellow Grammy winning singer-songwriter Olivia Rodrigo, the singer was seen cheering her on during her live performance. Neither singer has spoken directly on the allegations that they had a disagreement at this time. The theories allege that the pair no longer speak due to a writing credits dispute. Swift is credited on Rodrigo’s “deja vu” after claiming that the track sounded similar to her “Lover” era hit “Cruel Summer.”
