The Jonas Brothers rose to fame in the early 2000s after they formed in their small town of Wyckoff, New Jersey. While working on their first album in 2005, they opened for the likes of Jesse McCartney, Kelly Clarkson, the Backstreet Boys, and several others. After several guest star appearances on Hannah Montana, they landed their first starring acting roles in Disney’s Camp Rock movie franchise, and eventually their own TV shows, Jonas and Jonas LA. After years of touring and making original music, the group announced their split in 2013 due to “creative differences.”
In 2019, the band made a surprising resurgence with their single “Sucker” and an accompanying music video that featured each of the brothers’ wives. They subsequently released their album Happiness Begins, along with a documentary with Amazon Prime titled Chasing Happiness. The documentary shows a behind-the-scenes look at the challenges of their young fame, and the truth about the band’s split.

The Jonas Brothers remain at the forefront of pop culture years after their debut as a band for several reasons. Nick Jonas had a successful solo career, and married actress Priyanka Chopra, who rose to fame in the Indian film industry before finding further success in the American film industry.
Joe Jonas, who famously dated Taylor Swift when they were both teenagers and abruptly broke up with her, has long been rumored to be the subject of much of Swift’s Fearless album. When she released her re-record of the album in 2021, Joe Jonas found himself trending once again, as it was rumored that he was the subject of vault track “Mr. Perfectly Fine.”

Jonas posted a humorous TikTok of himself listening to the song, and his wife posted the song to her Instagram story, calling it a “bop.” Swift and Jonas reportedly buried the hatchet years ago, and Swift is close friends with Jonas’ wife, actress Sophie Turner of Game of Thrones. Swift even hints she bought the couple presents when they had their first child in her 2020 Folklore track “Invisible String.”
Needless to say, listeners are absolutely ready for THE album of all albums, The Album.
