  • Snap, formerly known as Snapchat, has announced its new Spectacles — glasses that take hands-free pictures. The company, best known for your favorite rapidly-disappearing photo app, has followed up its name change with a whole new product. So, now you can take hands free dick pics just like Usher.

The company released a promo video to announce Spectacles, and it shows off the safer, less risqué uses for the product. These include taking action shots of friends while participating in sports. So, you know, if you wanted to take pictures while playing soccer, now you can.

Here’s the original video from a dedicated Spectacles YouTube channel:

  • The spectacles themselves look like sunglasses with cameras in them. The glasses can take up to 30 seconds worth of video at a time. They currently cost $130 (not bad when compared to other novelty products) but are being made in a limited batch.

The cameras within the Spectacles are supposed to mimic your vision, so that your friends across the country or across the world can see what you’re seeing, 24 hours a day. In other words: it’s a way of making your irritating social media activity both 1. ever-present, and 2. publicly displayed on your face so that others know to avoid you.
