Victoria Beckham will star in an upcoming Netflix docuseries that explores her transition from Spice Girls superstardom in the 1990s to her current role as a leading fashion icon. The series, which is untitled as of now, will offer an in-depth look at Beckham’s journey to building her fashion empire.

The docuseries will feature appearances from Beckham, her family, friends, and colleagues. It will be produced by Studio 99, the production company run by her husband, David Beckham, who also produced the documentary “Beckham.” Studio 99 is collaborating with Dorothy St Pictures on the project.

The logline for the series states, “Her Posh Spice days may be behind her, but today Beckham is on a journey to build a fashion empire — and now, fans will be able to see the story behind it all.”

Victoria Beckham gained notable attention for her appearance in the recent documentary “Beckham,” which highlighted her husband’s rise from an aspiring athlete to a global football and fashion icon. In the documentary, a memorable scene showed David Beckham pressing Victoria to acknowledge her privileged background, which has since become a popular meme.

Director Fisher Stevens, who worked on “Beckham,” revealed in an interview with Variety that he spent 14 hours interviewing Victoria for the film. He mentioned the complexities of their relationship, referring to past controversies involving David Beckham. Despite these challenges, Stevens expressed admiration for the couple’s enduring love and close bond.

The new docuseries will be executive produced by Nicola Howson, who also worked on “Beckham,” and Julia Nottingham, known for her work on “Pamela: A Love Story.”

The announcement of Victoria Beckham’s docuseries was made during a Netflix panel at the Edinburgh TV Festival, where several other upcoming documentaries were also revealed, including projects about chef Gordon Ramsay, the 1990s boy band Take That, the 7/7 London bombings, and sports promoters.
