Moviegoers Create New Trend With ‘Wicked’ & ‘Gladiator 2’ Called “Glicked”

Following the success of last year’s Barbenheimer, Universal’s Wicked and Paramount’s Gladiator II are aiming to create their own box office powerhouse, dubbed Glicked, this weekend.

So far, Wicked has earned $19.2 million in previews, including $2.5 million from Monday screenings, $5.7 million on Wednesday, and $11 million on Thursday.

In comparison, Gladiator II made $6.5 million in Thursday previews, while last summer’s Barbenheimer saw Barbie bring in $22.3 million and Oppenheimer $10.5 million on the same day.
