TikTok user and Walmart employee @be.tru.be.you has now gone viral for showing the recent price increases she’s been responsible for posting on common household items in the past couple of weeks.

In the video she shows price increases on chocolate syrup and paper plates, these are pretty significant. In a follow up video she showed some price increases on soup, stuffing, and baking powder.
Now because this TikTok users original video has over 1.2 million views, there were plenty of people going off in the comments. Some pointed out how this video hurts, and others said the only amount they can count on staying the same is their paycheck.
It’s one thing knowing inflation exists, but it hits different seeing it in a viral video.
