This year’s DragCon was complete with stylish and successful queens from several different seasons of the popular MTV show “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” A wide array of runway walks and makeup styles strutted the lengthy pink carpet. This year’s DragCon carries a more serious undertone than that of previous years. After months of drag bans and anti-LGBTQ+ legislation spread across the country, several queens on the carpet carried signs bearing messages of support for their community.
Most recent “Drag Race”winner Sasha Colby is a transgender woman. Fellow previous “Drag Race” victors marched in support of trans youth, after bans on gender affirming healthcare for minors passed in several states, including Iowa and Tennessee. With “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” coming soon, there’s plenty more “Drag Race” content for fans on the way. Without further ado, here’s what your favorite queens wore to DragCon.
