Temptations Creates a Cat Collar That Lets Your Cat Talk to You

Well getting a Christmas gift for our Aunts just got a whole lot easier!

Temptations released videos yesterday introducing their new Catterbox; a 3D printed collar that translates your cat’s meows into English. There is apparently an app involved and you can even choose your cat’s voice and accent. The series of short videos shows a few cats doing various activities (eating, playing, emerging from a carrier) and meowing, then the collar emitting an apparent translation. Now so far it’s just the “prototypes” that have launched in the US and New Zealand, no word on when/if you’ll be able to get a Catterbox for your pet, but this a genius bit of advertising regardless. Mind you, I’m pretty sure my cat totally speaks in monologues more than single word quips, but I’ll be keeping an eye out juuuuust in case this turns out to be real.
