You’ve never seen Queen’s famous rock anthem “Bohemian Rhapsody” interpreted quite like this before, and the results are pretty amazing - though I will confess I was slightly disappointed these ballet dancers didn’t break out into head-banging, “Wayne’s World” style.
In honor of the song’s 40th anniversary, the English National Ballet arranged a beautiful performance choreographed by soloist James Streeter, and danced by Erina Takahashi and James Forbat.
In a behind-the-scenes video, Streeter explains the inspiration behind the choreography. “Bohemian Rhapsody means a lot of things to me. I guess it was the start of my dancing career. I’ve grown up with this music. To be asked to choreograph it was amazing.”
