We’re so inundated with ads on a daily basis, it takes a lot for any to actually catch our attention anymore. More and more, companies are taking to YouTube to host longer ads with the hopes that they’ll go viral and news of their product will get out to the world.
That’s exactly what happened with this bizarre ad for KENZO World perfume.
Directed by Spike Jonze, the three and a half minute video features a girl (The Leftovers’ Margaret Qualley) getting bored at some fancy reception and excusing herself to go dancing all over the place, nothing held back. It’s a wild ride, full of unexpected choices and amusing visuals. And definitely provides a great opportunity for Qualley to do something just a little bit different from The Leftovers.
