  • UPDATE: Bud Light removes scroll from future bottles

In a statement posted on its website, Anheuser-Busch apologized for the “Remove ‘No’ From Your Vocabulary” message.

“The Bud Light Up for Whatever campaign, now in its second year, has inspired millions of consumers to engage with our brand in a positive and light-hearted way. In this spirit, we created more than 140 different scroll messages intended to encourage brand engagement. It’s clear that this particular message missed the mark, and we regret it. We would never condone disrespectful or irresponsible behavior. As a result, we have immediately ceased production of this message on all bottles.”

This is actually printed on a Bud Light bottle.

Yes, we know that Bud Light didn’t intend to make us think about rape, but how could you read this and NOT think about it?

Just so you’re aware, here’s what Bud Light wants you to think about:

Wow! Real life Pac-Man! Who’d want to say “no” to that? Nobody who drinks Bud Light, that’s who. People who drink Bud Light are #UpForWhatever.

Hey sweet party huh? Yeah we spent all day putting together our pimps n hos outfits. Want a Bud Light? Cool, girl, cool. Want to go to my room where I can lock it from the outside?
