GOP Presidential hopeful, Herman Cain, announced that he would be suspending his campaign Saturday. The news comes after weeks of controversy amidst revelations of supposed sexual scandals and affairs, which he has denied.
“As of today, with a lot of prayer and soul searching, I am suspending my presidential campaign,” Cain said at a rally in Atlanta. “Because of the continued distractions, the continued hurt caused on me and my family, not because we are not fighters. Not because I’m not a fighter.”
Cain also relaunched his website, HermanCain.com, and said he would be announcing his endorsement of another Republican candidate shortly.
Meanwhile, #CainWreck has emerged as a trending topic on twitter as many are posting their candid thoughts and jokes against Cain.
