The Trevor Project, the leading organization for suicide prevention and intervention for LGBTQ youth (and who we have worked with recently) came together with Disney to share a new ‘It Gets Better’ message with the world.The Walt Disney Company joins a long list of corporations from LinkedIn to Facebook who have uploaded videos including employees sharing their own personal stories and support to anyone who has been bullied or harassed, that “it gets better.”
The movement began with one single video uploaded by columnist and gay rights activist Dan Savage on September 21, 2010. His message inspired hundreds of thousands of people to upload their own videos supporting the cause– even Hillary Clinton and President Obama.
