  • It wouldn’t be LGBT Pride Month without YouTube showing its support to the Queer Community.

Last year, the video-sharing website came out with a series of videos called #ProudToLove, where they had LGBT YouTubers share their pride with the Internet. This year, #ProudToPlay celebrates the recent surge of openly LGBT athletes from around the world, including Michael Sam, Robbie Rogers, Jason Collins and Tom Daley.

With narration from the late Nelson Mandela, President Obama, Ellen DeGeneres and Kobe Bryant, this video will move you to tears.

The message of the video comes from the wise words of Nelson Mandela, “Sport has the power to change the world, it has the power to unite people in a way that little else does.”

Watch these athletes break down the walls of discrimination by being #ProudToPlay.
