  • First it was the Christmas cups, now it’s the Christmas sweaters; the winter holidays have 2 major retailers feeling the heat this week. Except, this complaint definitely has some more merit than Starbuck’s “Cup Gate”.

Customers are shaming one of Target’s Christmas sweaters, which many believe trivializes mental illness. The cup features the letters O-C-D and the words “Obsessive Christmas Disorder”. Naturally, social media was filled with complaints over the garment and called out Target for its insensitivity.

  • As of now, Target has made no plans to remove the sweater from shelves. According to USA Today, a Target spokesman, Josh Thomas did say “We never want to disappoint any of our guests and apologize for any discomfort,”

What do you think? Is the sweater offensive or are people too easily offended? Let us know in the comments and on social media!
