  • Kaylee Moats, a young woman born without a vagina, is raising money for a surgery that will allow her to have sex.

Kaylee was born with a very rare condition that’s left her without several reproductive organs — no cervix, uterus or vaginal opening.

The condition is known as Mayer Rokitansky Küster Hauser syndrome, or MRKH.

In an article from the New York Post, Kaylee says she ovulates like other women, but her eggs dissolve into her ovaries. She also says her vagina looks exactly how it should, except that inside of the vaginal opening, there’s a dimpled skin where the hole should be.

Kaylee is currently in a relationship and is starting to think about the future.

He doesn’t really focus on the sexual side of our relationship because we can’t do anything since I don’t have a vaginal opening. But I am looking forward to having a sexual relationship. I’m not sure if I want to wait until marriage, but I think having that option there is a lot more comforting.

Fortunately, there is an option for a surgery to give Kaylee a vaginal opening, but it’s not covered by her insurance. Why? The procedure is considered cosmetic.

In order to raise funds for the procedure, Kaylee’s sister, Amanda, set up a GoFundMe and raised over $16,000.
