The Star Spangled Banner. Ever heard of it? If you don’t know what it is, it’s a very popular song sung at a sports event — a very patriotic sort of thing. Most people like it (I think). Ringing a bell at all?
Politics aside, whether you support the song or not, I think we can all agree that people are very good at messing up the song. I mean, do you even know the words? Does anyone?
So, obviously, we all heard Fergie’s recent rendition of the National Anthem, and a large majority of people hated it. But, if you think she’s the only person to screw up my favorite song (the American National Anthem, second is Frank Zappa’s entire “Absolutely Free” album), you’re completely wrong.
