Needless to say, the tweet was a huge misfire and received an onslaught of angry @replies from his followers, which caused Kutcher to relinquish control of his Twitter account to his public relations team at Katalyst Media.
As the first Twitter user to gain one million followers, Kutcher is the reason many celebrities jumped on the little blue bird plane in the first place. Does the “Two and a Half Men” star’s microblogging blunder signify the ultimate fail whale and the end of a social media era?
Our panelist Chris Gore said, “I just think that everyone’s surprised that a celebrity tweeted something basically by being misinformed.”
