On Saturday, the 2012 North American International Auto Show opened in Detroit wowing the media and showing signs of a turn around for the car industry. Some of the big winners include the Range Rover Evoque, which was named the North American Truck of the Year, and the Car of the Year, the Hyundai Elantra compact, which beat out the Ford Focus and Volkswagen Passat.

Ford unveiled its 2013 Fusion, which is being offered in plug-in and hybrid models. The car maker expects the hybrid to get 47 miles per gallon in city driving, and said the plug-in Fusion Energi should get around 100 miles per gallon.
