  • George Zimmerman, charged with the second-degree murder of Trayvon Martin, was released from a Florida county jail late last night. News photographers took the opportunity to be there for the event, but it doesn’t seem that Zimmerman was hassled by haters or protestors at the scene.

According to a court hearing on Friday, Zimmerman’s bail was set at $150,000. He reportedly stayed the weekend while securing the $10% for bail and making safe residential arrangements for the pre-trial period.

While his location will be known to the court and he is free to leave the state, Zimmeran’s whereabouts are currently undisclosed to the public. The conditions of the bail ensure that Zimmerman obey a curfew, surrender his passport, and undergo 24-hour monitoring via a GPS-enabled bracelet. He’s also not allowed to carry any guns or drink alcohol.

Zimmerman was arrested on May 11 for the murder of Trayvon Martin and his next court date is schedule for May 29.
