Britney Spears is lawyering up after Sam Asghari files for divorce from his pop star wife.
Spears and Asghari tied the knot in a star studded wedding back in June of 2022. But new reports have come in claiming the couple is headed for divorce. Leading up to the big day, Spears and Asghari signed a prenuptial agreement that What’s Trending has been told was in the Grammy winner’s “favor.”
The reports claim that Sam Asghari confronted the singer about a week ago claiming that she stepped out on him. Many are unsure if the rumor had any basis, however, TMZ was told from a source that Sam believe the statement told to him and the two had a major argument.
TMZ also went on to note that there has been “deep trouble” for the couple for months with Sam not sleeping at the house much. Reports have also come out claiming Britney has gotten physical in blowout fights that include frequent screaming matches.
Sources said that Sam moved out of their house and is now living at a place of his own. Later on the actor filed for divorce, The outlet noted that Asghari cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason to end the marriage.
Sam Asghari reportedly wants his popstar wife to pay him more than what their prenup provides in return for keeping her secrets following their split.
According to Page Six, a source told the outlet that the actor is “attempting to negotiate concessions beyond his prenup and threatening to go public with extraordinarily embarrassing information about Britney unless he gets paid.”

Page Six reported that Britney has hired celebrity divorce attorney Laura Wasser, who boasts A-list clients like Kim Kardashian, Kevin Costner and Johnny Depp.
Some reports have come in that the cheating rumors are false and state that Britney is simply cleaning out house because she realizes that Sam Asghari does not really care for her anymore.
Britney has since posted a photo of her on a horse with a cryptic message that confuses many. The star has not commented on the exact situations, but some are claiming this is her response. Many believe this is a photo Sam Asghari took on vacation as well.
