Charli XCX, the British pop star known for hits like “Boom Clap” and “Von Dutch,” has hinted that her future may not solely revolve around music, expressing a desire to explore other creative avenues beyond her musical career.

In a recent interview with The Sun’s Bizarre column, Charli XCX reflected on her evolving aspirations following the success of her latest album, ‘Brat,’ which has garnered significant attention in pop culture this summer.

“I would like to flex my creative muscles on other areas. I don’t envisage myself making music forever,” she shared. “Maybe I will in some capacity, but I just feel like there are other creative areas I really want to explore.”

One of these new ventures includes a foray into acting. Charli XCX is set to make her feature film debut in the upcoming remake of the 1978 cult horror film ‘Faces of Death.’ Speaking about her role in the film, she expressed excitement, revealing her admiration for the original movie and how she got involved in the remake.

“I was a fan of the original movie. I saw that this film was being remade by a director, Daniel Goldhaber. We met and we spoke, and he was like, ‘You should be in it.’ I was like, ‘Wow, that’s crazy’… I really got the bug from that,” Charli XCX explained.

The remake, anticipated to follow a similar documentary-style format as the original, has already attracted attention for its controversial subject matter, including scenes depicting real-life incidents that led to bans in multiple countries.

Charli XCX’s creative ambitions extend beyond acting. She hinted at potential exploration in various creative fields, a sentiment she reiterated in her interview with The Sun. Despite her success in music, including the recent release of her album ‘Brat,’ Charli XCX appears eager to expand her artistic horizons.
