Adele has officially wrapped up her two-year residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, bidding an emotional farewell to fans during the final performance of her Weekends With Adele concert series on Saturday, Nov. 24. The 16-time Grammy-winning artist reflected on her journey, shared heartfelt messages for her loved ones, and expressed her bittersweet feelings about the end of the show.

During her last concert, Adele spoke candidly with the audience about the impact of the residency on her personal life, including her desire to maintain a sense of normalcy for her 14-year-old son, Angelo. “To my son, I chose to do a residency maybe because I f—— hate touring,” Adele said, wiping away tears in footage captured by fans and shared on social media. “But I chose to do a residency so I could keep his life normal. And I did do that. But I also wouldn’t change it for the world. I get to be with him on the weekends now because obviously, he can’t always come. So I love you to bits. … Thank you for being patient for me.”

The singer also took a moment to thank her partner, sports agent Rich Paul, whom she has referred to as her “husband” during her residency shows. “Thank you for always bigging me up and making me feel like I could do whatever I wanted to do,” she said, acknowledging his unwavering support throughout the demanding residency schedule. “There’s been times when I’m too tired or I’m too emotionally drained… so I appreciate that.”

Celine Dion’s Special Visit and Emotional Closure

The Weekends With Adele residency was not without its emotional milestones. Adele revealed that she found closure during her final performances after a special visit from music icon Celine Dion, who attended Adele’s October 26 show at The Colosseum. The two stars shared a touching embrace, a moment that moved Adele deeply.

“I cried for a whole week. A whole week,” Adele recalled. “It was just such a full-circle moment for me. Because that’s the only reason I ever wanted to be in here.” The experience with Dion, who is known for her legendary career and her own Las Vegas residency, was a moment of personal and professional validation for Adele, marking an emotional high point of her two-year run.

Adele’s Uncertain Future Plans

While Adele expressed gratitude for the opportunity to connect with fans and perform in Las Vegas, she also made it clear that the future is uncertain. “I will miss you terribly. I don’t know when I’m next going to perform again,” Adele told the crowd. “I’m not doing anything else. I’m actually s—— myself about what I am going to do. I don’t have any f—— plans.”

Despite her feelings of uncertainty, Adele reassured fans that she would return to the stage at some point. “Of course, I’ll be back. The only thing I’m good at is singing and things like that. I just don’t know when I want to next come on stage, but I love you,” she said. “I know it’s a real task to come to Vegas to see someone play. It’s just what I needed for this season of my life.”

Adele had previously told fans earlier in November that she was “genuinely sad” about the residency’s conclusion, acknowledging the significant emotional connection she had developed with her Las Vegas audience.

A Record-Breaking Residency

Adele’s Weekends With Adele residency, which began in November 2022, quickly became one of the most talked-about shows in Las Vegas. The residency not only showcased the singer’s vocal prowess but also her ability to connect with audiences on a personal level, often sharing intimate stories and moments from her life.

According to reports, Adele’s final show also marked the 100th performance of her Weekends With Adele series, a major milestone for both her career and the Las Vegas entertainment scene. The residency received widespread praise for its artistry and emotional depth, with many fans describing the experience as transformative.

In September, Adele hinted that after the residency wrapped, she would take a hiatus from live performances, adding another layer of finality to her Las Vegas farewell. “I’ve had the most incredible time here. It has been so special,” she said earlier this year. “But after this, I’m going to take some time for myself.”
