Olivia Rodrigo released “Drop Dead” today, the lead single off her upcoming album you seem pretty sad for a girl so in love, alongside a music video directed by Petra Collins and filmed at the Palace of Versailles.

Styled by Chloe and Chenelle Delgadillo, Rodrigo appears in a dusty blue off-the-shoulder Chloé top, silk bloomers, and white pointelle socks throughout the video. The visuals draw heavily from Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette, with retro pink headphones and bedroom scenes that mirror the film’s anachronistic, girlish aesthetic.

The opening look also caught attention online. The pearl-embellished minidress Rodrigo wears in a neon-lit club sequence has been identified by fans as Jane Birkin’s dress from the 1975 film Catherine et Cie — consistent with what Rodrigo told British Vogue earlier this month: “My Pinterest is all babydoll dresses and ’70s necklines.”

Rodrigo described the track as “the first chapter” of the new record. The album does not yet have a release date.
