The 54th Annual Grammy Awards are in full swing, with the nominations announced Wednesday night during a live concert special on CBS. The “biggest night in music” has been one of the first awards show to really embrace social media and the second screen experience having had a 72-hour Grammy Livestream leading up to the big event since 2010. (I’m a bit biased as I have hosted it the past two years!)During last night’s nominations, fans were encouraged to tweet and connect using the hashtag #WeAreMusic. They also set up a backstage livestream at Livestream.com/TheGrammys where the community could get industry commentary and artist interviews before and after the live broadcast.
