A new animated film starring Charlie Brown and his friends is coming in November of 2015, and for the first time, Charles Schulz’s beloved creations will be rendered with computer animation.
20th Century Fox has now given the world a sneak peek at how the Peanuts-verse is going to look in the new film, and producer Paul Feig (best known for directing “Bridesmaids”) talked to USA Today about their attempts to stay true to the spirit of the old comic strips and TV specials.

For example, the film won’t introduce any new characters, but will focus on familiar “Peanuts” regulars like Linus, Snoopy, Peppermint Patty and Sally. (More obscure characters like Snoopy’s brother Olaf will also make appearances.)
As well, Snoopy will retain his alter-ego as the WWI flying ace The Red Baron, and Charlie Brown will continue his pursuit of the iconic, never-seen “Little Red Haired Girl.”

Even the late Bill Melendez will continue to provide the sounds for Snoopy and Woodstock, as the producers used archival recordings of his voice work.
“Peanuts” is produced by the Blue Sky animation studio and directed by Steve Martino, who previously helmed “Ice Age: Continental Drift.” It hits theaters November 6, 2015.
